Our Philosophy

EcoSnap has been committed to the environment since its inception. We strive to offer the greenest web hosting service possible while still offering an exceptional experience for our customers.

EcoSnap offsets its annual carbon emissions by an average of 1,300%. We do this as part of an ongoing effort to reduce our impact on the environment and to promote eco-awareness among our clients and society as a whole.

Further, we only use energy-efficient servers to power our web hosting operations. And for tasks that are not mission-critical, we use virtual servers which use only a fraction of the electricity that a traditional server would use.

EcoSnap donates 8% of every hosting dollar

Once a year, we set aside 8% of every hosting dollar for contribution to eco-friendly causes. Because we share this planet, we believe it is our responsibility to give back as individuals and as a company.

Read on to see how EcoSnap reduces its impact on the environment.

A new EcoSnap account -> 25 newly planted trees

We are partners with Trees for the Future, which plants 25 trees every time we acquire a new EcoSnap client. Each of these trees annually removes on average 50 pounds of C02 from the atmosphere--that's about 1,250 pounds of C02 per year, thanks to each of our new accounts.

The Trees for the Future network has helped people in thousands of villages in Asia, Africa, and Latin America improve their lives and rehabilitate their environment through beneficial tree planting, with more than 70 million trees planted so far. That's over 1.5 million tons of C02 out of the atmosphere every year.

More EcoSnap green: we're a carbon-free partner

In addition to our sponsorship of Trees for the Future, we offset 100% of our carbon emissions by partnering with the United States' leading carbon reduction and offset organization, Carbonfund.org.

The not-for-profit Carbonfund.org supports projects for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation, each of which plays an important role in the fight against climate change. Its motto: "Reduce what you can. Offset what you can't." That's an approach we heartily support.
